Boreal is Gold

Published 3 years ago

The Canada Green Building Council has just confirmed that the Boreal Centre for Bird Conservation, in Slave Lake, has achieved LEED Gold. This mainly off-grid building collects rainwater, uses composting toilets, is well-insulated and is a delightful interpretative and research facility. For a virtual tour of this facility and its sustainable building strategies, see www.borealbirdcentre.ca/about.htm and for more photos see manascisaac.com/projects/boreal_centre
