Green Revolution Conquers MS (partially)

Setting forth at 8am this past Saturday with 1650 others in support of the MS society, team 'Green Revolution' embarked on a leisurely 190km 2 day ride in +28 degree weather from Nisku to Camrose and back.
This years team included Vivacious Vivian Manasc, Speedy Sandra Valens, Maniac Mike Turner, and Stubborn Ian O'Donnell (coined from his incessant desire to carry his 25lbs backpack the 1st 93km). Filling up on watermelon, bananas, and gatorade like it was going out of style, we somehow managed to make it to Camrose just in time for rehydration at the beer gardens. Following a wonderful BBQ chicken dinner and inspiring program from the MS society we were ready to hit the hay and prepare for the return trip. Day 2 was filled with a cool morning, incredibly sore posteriors and wonderful head winds. However we persevered and even held off on the soft ice cream stands we passed by. Returning to Nisku early afternoon we were greeted with cheers and congratulations along with a delicious hamburger and more than a few ice creams.
Congratulations to Team Green Revolution in raising $3,128 to date and this year's MS Bike Tour for raising ~ 1.5million in the fight to end MS. Well done!
See you all next year!
