In the Spring of 2009, a Manasc Isaac architecture student visited Amiskwaciy Academy to get a feel for the project and interview staff and students about their home eight years after it was completed.

"Usually I pride myself in my ability to picture a space in my mind; however, when I was told that this school resided in a renovated airport terminal, I did not know what to expect. I could not imagine what it was like, probably because of the very different, and very specific role for which an airport terminal is designed."
