The shared vision is to provide ATCO Electric in Lloydminster with a facility that has a healthy and safe working environment as well as a welcoming and member-oriented atmosphere. ATCO Electric should stand out in the community, while appearing as though it belongs and blends into the existing surroundings. The working environment is flexible and promotes open communication between staff and departments to ensure comfort and the feeling of “a home away from home”.  The new building meets the agreed functional, operational, sustainable and information technology requirements for this project. Stakeholders were engaged and informed throughout the design and construction process, ensuring a smooth and effective approval, design and construction process.

The program includes space for Customer Service, Regional Administration, Engineering, Construction Materials Management and Yard Storage for field service operations teams.  The new ATCO Electric building is designed in accordance with sustainable design principles.  The LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) certification process will now be utilized to create a building that will be a healthy and energy-efficient facility for staff and visitors of ATCO Electric.

LEED Silver is targeted for this facility.
