Athabasca University renovated three floors of an Edmonton office tower to accommodate administrative staff. Because of the fast-track nature of the project, Manasc Isaac took on the role of Construction Manager in addition to the functional programming, space planning and design work. This enabled us to manage subtrades and suppliers directly. This strategy was both time and cost-effective for the University; the project was completed over a three-month period.

Sustainable strategies include a demountable wall system (made of strawboard) providing flexibility, superior acoustic performance, and clean and quick installation. We also created a healthy indoor air environment by using non-toxic carpets sealants and other finish materials.

"Athabasca University is well pleased with the results of our Edmonton Learning Centre (ELC) Tenant Improvement (TI) package as delivered using the construction management process and Manasc Isaac’s Jack McCutcheon as the on site construction manager.
"Working together Athabasca University and Manasc Isaac assembled a design and a team that, under the direction of Jack McCutcheon delivered the project on time and on budget.
"While every project has its glitches and bumps, all was smoothed out under the expert guidance of Mr. McCutcheon."
