Groundbreaking sustainable buildings

Bushe River Mall

Bushe, AB, Canada

First Nations, Commercial

Completed

April, 2000

  • Overview

This multi-use building is the first piece of a future commercial centre for Bushe River, serving the Dene Tha’ First Nation. The building includes a small supermarket, convenience retail area, gas station services and pharmacy.

The building features a curvilinear shape and vibrant colour scheme, providing a strong visual presence for highway traffic. Exterior lighting is designed to highlight the curved façade at night.

The floor plan is designed for different hours of operation for the businesses, allowing any of these areas to be closed off independently.
