Knowledge and Innovation Campus

Edmonton, AB, Canada

Post Secondary, Masterplan

Current

March, 2009

  • Overview

Manasc Isaac is working with Grant MacEwan College, the Alberta Research Council, Edmonton Economic Development Authority and Alberta Infrastructure to develop a 25-75 year vision and strategic roadmap for a new integrated Knowledge & Innovation Campus (KIC).

The proposed campus integrates the best practices in sustainable campus planning and building design with new approaches to traffic demand management and transportation infrastructure.

A new culture will emerge at the Knowledge + Innovation Campus - a culture that celebrates youthful energy, facilities integration, demonstrates the importance of the business side of science, is a model of environmentally sustainable development, illustrates innovation and makes learning visible, while respecting the need for security and safety for staff, students, researchers and business people on the campus.

This healthy, sustainable community will be supported with suitable recreational facilities, to enhance both human and environmental health and will be a model of 21st Century development for campuses.
