Knowledge Common, University of Alberta

Edmonton, AB, Canada

Interior Design, Post Secondary

Completed

October, 2001

  • Overview

This Project involved the redevelopment of the lower level of Cameron Library and the expansion of a student computing facility better known as Knowledge Common.

The redevelopment improved circulation between the Knowledge Common and the Cameron Library, and enhanced access and visibility for the other lower floor tenants. The expansion of the Knowledge Common area increased access to library resources and electronic digital libraries by adding computer-equipped study spaces for an additional 250 students, amenity space adjacent to the student areas with seating capacity for 70 students, workrooms and student group breakout rooms.
