The new Corporate Centre provides Servus Credit Union, one of Canada’s 50 best managed companies, with a welcoming and member-oriented facility that is delightful, healthy and safe working environment. A booklet describing the Corporate Centre is free to download.
This three-storey building, formerly Dell's Customer Service and Training Centre, is designed to house 400 Servus Credit Union employees. The exterior of the existing building is designed to showcase a strong and vibrant corporate image and includes a new front entrance and canopy; reinsulated and reclad building envelope; and an innovative window replacement strategy that allows optimal natural lighting inside the building.
In contrast to the original interior of the former Dell Building, the renovated office space is well-lit, open and inviting to staff and customers alike. From the new reception area and into the central space of the main floor, there is a new open atrium with a central feature staircase that encourages interaction between staff members of Servus' various departments. In addition to an in-house Servus branch, the new Headquarters also provides executive offices on the third floor with large windows and adequate boardroom space.
In line with upgrades to the building's original envelope, four-element window glazing has been installed along with centrally controlled motorized operable windows. Natural daylight and improved indoor air quality contributes to this building's LEED Sliver Certification.
Sustainability, engaging in environmentally friendly activities and energy efficiency are very important to the client and stakeholders. The working environment needs to be flexible and open to allow for communication between employees. Servus anticipates an increase in support staff and specialized services; therefore, the new Credit Union facility must have the capacity and flexibility to enable future growth.
The new Servus Credit Union Corporate Centre was completed in late 2009 and has beed occupied since early 2010.
The project is:
- a durable and flexible building to accommodate the changing needs of Servus Credit Union
- a healthy working environment for Servus’ employees.
- an administrative and training facility that promotes a sense of openness among all of the departments.
“Integrating our corporate re-organization, Manasc Isaac assisted us in planning for our future space needs and establishing the optimal value approach to our renovation, using their well-established integrated design method...The Servus staff are enjoying their new space and the organization is benefitting from the co-location of our staff.”
- Brian Los, Senior Property Manager, Servus Credit Union
