Solar Cittee

Leduc, AB, Canada

Commercial

Design

March, 2009

  • Overview

Solar Cittee in Leduc is a new idea for the big box store - Sustainable Retail. The first phase of this project is a 16-unit development of retail bays accessed by shoppers from a single-sided walkway running along the front. Each unit is daylit from the front and the rear, providing a naturally illuminated environment.

Materials will be chosen that have a high recycled content, are locally produced or created from rapidly-renewable resources. A green roof will help control surface water and provide grey water for irrigation and water closet flushing.
