  • Recognitions

The St. Thomas Health Centre delivers culturally-appropriate care and shelter to seniors in the Francophone community. The Centre consists of approximately 200 units of housing in a range of floor plans that accomodate seniors with different medical needs and varying financial resources. The facility includes amenities for resident and non-resident users: a community clinic, an Adult Day Program facility, dining rooms and a multi-purpose room for meetings, presentations and special events.

The gardens and patios surrounding the building are adapted for safe and secure year-round activity and enjoyment. The facility was designed to meet the objectives of the Commercial Building Incentive Program (CBIP).  While this project will not be submitted for LEED® Certification, the  principles of LEED informed the design to reduce energy costs and improve indoor environmental for the health and wellness of residents.
