Who says that an old dog can’t learn new tricks?

This mixed-use building, located in Calgary’s up-and-coming Mission neighbourhood, was beginning to show its age. We reimagined the exterior with a concept that delights the eyes but minds the budget using effective, smart design techniques.

A unique mesh cladding wraps around the building façade, providing texture and dimension. Bold colour edges the new façade, providing a visual lift.

1800’s development permit was the very first to be issued by the City of Calgary following 2013’s devastating flood and has transformed its corner on 4th Street.
