Hugh A. Bennett School was designed for the Calgary Board of Education, and is located in the Northeast neighbourhood of Saddle Ridge.

The school is located adjacent to plains and the wetland landscapes, and the design team emphasizes these connections through colour and form, drawing from the diverse fauna and flora of the area. Designed to reference a bird landing on the grassland, the school celebrates the prairie history of its community.
